an i7-3820 and gtx 660 for under $500?! that's insane. i would think that at $741 its still a good deal considering the parts for those two pieces alone is $500. not an insanely slick deal. probably the same price as anything you would build yourself if you waited for sales prices but with warranty and a nice case and saving the trouble of putting the rig together.
You're possibly right, it was a 3rd gen core i7 but to be honest I didn't pay attention to which model. It definitely had a GTX 660 in it though.
Where did you get 25% off coupon for xps8500? I can't find a thread with that info.
I think it expired on the 4th. It was specifically for the 8500 and one other model (8200 maybe?)
