I have an Invicta watch and I love it... I may go after that Gold and Black

Those are the quartz version, not the automatics...

Aything special about these to warrant the price? They're not ugly (well, not the silver ones at least...the gold is awful) but they seem really plain to me and not worth going crazy over.

Not sure the validity of this statement. I have a multitude of watches ranging vastly in price and I had a watch similar to this (except it was the swiss quartz with saph crystal) and it held up wonderfully and kept great time. Is this some sort of show piece watch? No, but if it is a style that someone likes, there is nothing wrong with an Invicta. Keep generalizing though without providing a single shred of information to back it up.

40 millimeters is not a girls watch. It is a classic size for a mens watch. Over sized mens watches are around 44 millimeters

This is pretty much a submariner 'clone' from a looks perspective. IMO 39-41 mm is the ideal watch size, anything bigger just looks gaudy unless you are a very large person.

yeah, the old ideal classic watch size, as more and more watches have increased in case sizes. I've seen plenty of folks of various sizes wear bigger watches, Invicta, Fossil, etc and they all look fine with them on. Sad you think you have to be large to wear a watch that is bigger than 41mm for it to look right
