Invicta makes a so-so beater watch, which is what these are. Those touting automatic probably haven't owned one in the <$100 category. I bought the auto Invicta Seamaster-ripoff watch with the coin bezel, and while it maintained its looks indefinitely (and I'd wear it in the weight room nonstop for a year, shower, swim, I didn't take it off), it NEVER kept good time (we're talking >= 5 mins per week of slack). Not only was resetting the watch annoying, but after a year or so the moisture seals became compromised and that was that. Now own a Seiko $69 beater - looks better, quartz keeps better time (although annoyingly still not very accurate) and it seems to hold up better. Anything in this category is going to be entry-level junk, but if you wear your watch 24/7 like me, that's just fine as you'll probably ruin it anyway. Couldn't stomach $5k for a watch I'd only wear occasionally - that buys a lot of tools.

Not a damn thing wrong with Invicta. I have owned an Invicta automatic now going on 3 years and it keeps incredible time, doesn't have a scratch on it, and was less than $100. I can't speak for some of their more "fashionable" large watches, but i'm more than happy with my purchase.

The warranty offered is worthless for the cheaper watches. Last time I looked it was like $28 to have a repair done during the warranty period. The good companies don't charge you a fortune for return shipping on a defective item they create. Add in shipping the item to them and at $35 or so it isn't worth warranty work for a $45-$60 watch. Reviews also state it can take 3-6 months to get a repair because their response is they ship it overseas for warranty work.
With all that said the automatic watch I got about 6 years ago was good. Except for when I hit it on the boat getting out and it went straight to the bottom of a lake. Wasn't getting that one back. I won't blame them because I could have bent a watch pin on the band. As for the cheap sub $60 non-autmatics they are garbage. I lost the second hand on one right away, the replacement lost the hand when it was too old to trade back in. It also lost the 12 o'clock marker too and quit working shortly after that. Could have been the battery, but the thing wore so much I moved to my new watch. I did get another automatic with the coin edge bezel for Christmas and this one seems to keep better time. It is off an minute of two a week, where my original automatic was off 5 minutes every 2-3 days. Last edited by Letter_K; 03-06-2013 at 02:36 PM.. Letterk is now Letter_K

Invicta can make some good watches, but I would agree that it's best to stay away from their low end watches. I've owned a few in the past, and they have all busted for various reasons in a short amount of time.
The only Invicta that I still own that I've had great luck with is the 9094 Pro Diver. It looks just like the one in the OP, but has an automatic movement made by Miyota (Citizen). This is only $85, but obviously almost double the OP. http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-Div...+automatic I agree that spending $10 more on a Seiko 5 is a better deal, though those watches are tiny at 37-38mm. The bottom line that's been mentioned before, is if you like the watch and want to spend less than $50, this is not a bad way to go. |

a friend showed me his Invicta which looked a lot like one of these and said, I got a great deal, the store owner gave it to me for $100, it competes with Rolex.
I didn't tell him it was a $50 Amazon watch, i figured if he thinks it competes with Rolex than why bring him down. Friends don't burst friends bubble. |

![]() I was considering one of the more expensive Invicta Reserve watches recently - really liked the look of it. But it was probably going to cost $500 or so, and then I read how similar watches had problems with the crown (tend to strip and then fall out) and the bracelet (self-destruct). I've never had those type of issues with even beater watches from Timex or Casio, so I'm sure not going to get an expensive watch with those kinds of problems. |

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this garbage if you want a nice watch. There are plenty of nice quality quartz watches for under a $100 and if you want automatic you can get some excellent sterile (no marking) homage watches that are 99% matches to luxury brand models (Rolex, Breitling, Omega) with an ETA movement that will last forever and be easy to get serviced for under $300.

I have to agree, for the most part Invicta's are a great value. They have a broad price range and have some watches in their assortment well over $1,000.00. The only real complaint I have against Invicta is the inflated retail prices, though it's not uncommon in the watch industry. |

I have the Invicta automatic (rolex submariner knockoff) and it keeps great times and is built solid. I bought it because I like the style, and feel to it. For under a hundred I can't think of to many watches in that price range that would compete with it. |
