9500ix is just a 8500x50 with gps. You esentially have a low end radar detector with gps filtering capabilities. Give me a redline with gps and now we talking xxxxM2 = M2 Horn (Solo 2) .xxxS3 = M2 Horn (Solo 3) xxxxM3 = M3 Horn (Bel Sti, Escort RedLine) xxxM3R = M3 Horn (Bel Sti-R, Escort 9500ci) xxxxM4 = M4 Horn (8500 X50, RX65, GX65, 9500ix) xxxM4R = M4 Horn (Qi45, RX45) xxxD05 = M4 Horn modified (Passport iQ) xxx8500= S7 Horn (8500,original 8500 X50 & RX65) xxxSR7 = S7 Horn (Escort SR7) http://www.radardetect Edit: For women I would highly recommend a 9500ix since they tend to not speed as much and the GPS is a blessing for them. Women will ignore the valentine since it speaks to them too much. The 9500ix is great since it will only speak to you when it feels like a threat is there. The 9500ix does all the processing and thinking which I think the women prefer that. Valentine and redline is PURE RAW POWER. To much for some people to handle and they end up with 9500ix. I have an escort x50. I live in North Carolina and I have recently noticed the state troopers running the k band instead of the usual ka band when I see them parked ahead of me running a trap. They usually just tap it so the k band shows on the detector a few seconds.
It seems some of the smaller town deputies also run a radar that only puts out the k band. Is the k band enough for them to write a citation or do they then need to hit the ka band radar before they can legally write a ticket? |

I've had my valentine 1 since 2007, it's still very strong. Works great. The suction cups are getting old especially since it's lived through many years of hot summer and cold winters.
I think the false alarms(like driving on highway with random X band) is a nice reminder for me to lose weight on my right foot... i drive usually 80mph in 65mph zones so when I hear the random alarms, i drop it to 70-75. |
