I've actually been thinking about that a lot recently and I think a ton of companies (especially retailers) are doing it, imagine having people working for so and so many $$ an hours stress testing graphics cards for example, no thanks, just spend $5 on shipping the product out to the next customer instead, maybe the customer is even so lazy that they won't bother returning a broken product, 100% profit

I've had a broken GPU (purchased as refurb) sent to me from mWave once, and the funny thing was that the PREVIOUS customer's invoice was still inside of the box + a note from him stating that it was broken, they didn't even bother removing that, so after a lengthy discussion they agreed to pay for return shipping and a full refund, lol.
