I've been tracking this product for a while and haven't seen it at this price in quite some time. I'm waiting for it to magically dip below $19 before I buy it, as I'm not in a hurry to get one.

Love the pen, use it everyday! I have the fine point and like the way it writes. It is smooth and I now look for ways to write more.
I added a Lamy Refill Converter (LZ24) from Amazon with Lamy Bottled Ink to seal the deal. I have not had to buy anything additional for a long time. |

I also recommend this pen for those interested, as well! I have been using this pen with an XF nib for a few years now. You can refill the cartridges that fit this pen with a syringe (capitalizing on the extra capacity) or use the Z24 cartridge for the convenience. Very good pen for FP beginners and enthusiasts, alike.

Been this price for a while. You can almost always get a fine around 20 or 21
What's hard is getting a extra-fine for the price. They always settle a few dollars higher than any other size FYI Lamy fine is wide even for a euro fountain pen. It's like a medium Japanese nib --------------- If you've never used a fountain pen and aren't 100% sure you will like it, I would suggest the Pilot Metropolitan They are a new release from Pilot (few months) and stores have been having trouble keeping them in stock. They come in only one nib size, medium, which is like a Lamy fine. But, they come with a converter, which makes them an excellent deal for a very nice fountain pen. I like my safari! I would say the Safari EF nib writes somewhere around a G2 pilot gel 0.7 (in terms of thickness).
