Return policies and shipping time on an item I can get for $1-2 on eBay? Seriously?

This is a great example of how ppl screw themselves on rebates. They jump on virtually ANYTHING as long as it ends up free, or close to free. But rebates are like anything else, you have to ask how much am I putting at risk for what reward. I don't care how you slice it, this deal is D-U-M-B! And I've been on this forum long enough for my fellow veterans to know I don't say that very often.

The "Money Maker" aspect sold me! This will pay for the stamps from my other Newegg rebates..lol

If you ask me, 95% of everything FAR from Newegg is not worth it. FAR HDMI cables, McAfee, HSF, fans, etc. But my positive experience with Newegg rebates compelled me to go for it.

I'd say Newegg has reached a golden age of FAR deals, much like how Staples and OD did years ago. Those $30 off $150 and $50 off $200 coupons were legendary.

I'd say it's a waste of time if you're self-employed

I'm making a tower out of my Arctic Cooling heatsinks, this will make a nice little turret on top.

I cannot figure out what one would use this for. What PC or laptop made in the last 15 years doesn't have built in sound? OK maybe if the onboard sound on an old laptop had failed maybe.

And for PS3? No headphone jack on your TV?

Either way I'd probably go cheap USB headset personally...

I have this exact doodad, as a replacement for my HP laptop's Beats Audio, I keep it plugged into my desktop USB hub, driving some Creative 2.1 speakers. Clean, flat-EQ sound, no fuss. Worth $9.

It's a cheap additional output and input channel, and in my case, I use it as the default audio device, because HP hasn't completely fixed the volume-leveling issue with their Beats Audio laptops.
