detachable antennas, but not dual band.
very good reviews. whats trending right now >>> Slickdeals Live View Feed TWC charging $3.95 to lease their cable modem - buy your own modem discussion if someone steals food from your lunch in the refrigerator at work, just make some yummy tempting cookies with laxatives in them. then just wait to see who gets the runs! that person wont ever steal anything from your lunch ever again!!! Which dd-wrt file are you using for this router? I don't see it in the database [dd-wrt.com].

So while I agree in principle that 5GHz offers an advantage, it's one that few can enjoy. For all practical purposes, 2.4GHz remains dominant and impossible to avoid no matter how much you'd like to consider 5GHz. Last edited by eibgrad; 03-07-2013 at 06:36 AM.. I got this router because of the reviews, to set up a (budget) longer range connection between house and calving shed for some relatives. First router I've ever had to return. Worked fine for a few minutes, then both wired and wireless would stop connecting, resetting didn't help, just did it again. No doubt it's decent at this price, I just got a dud.

I picked this router up last time it was at this price, hoping to get a version that was DD-WRT compatible. I received a version 8.1 which as far as I could tell isn't supported yet. If I am mistaken I would like to know which version of DD-WRT works with this router.

eibgrad, I disagree with your 'virtually every device' statement. My 2 year old cell phone is 5Ghz. What I'm getting at is for a few bucks more you can get out of the congested 2.4G space as you upgrade your clients with 5G capability. With your mentality you'd be running a 'b' AP connected to a 10Mb hub.

version 8.x = no dd-wrt support yet or has something changed?
My last order of this router from newegg was version 8.1
