Thats reassuring to hear. I know alot of users here say how bad 1080p looks over 24" but I just need something bigger for my DAW.

Do you guys think this will last a day? I'm moving and can't exactly get stuff shipped to my new address yet.

I actually went from a 24" to a 32" monitor

Did take a little while to get used to, I was moving my head from side to side to look at things, but then you "learn" to just move your eyes.

I sit about 3 feet away from the monitor, and for me, 32" is the perfect size.

Also tried a 37"..........too big

You'll get people saying that 1080P is not enough resolution at 32" for a monitor.
Usually the same people that say a 720P TV is un-watchable.

But I've never regretted it.

Thanks for the insight, I would be sitting roughly 3 feet away also. I debated over the dual monitor set with (2) 20 or 24 inchers, but then there are bezel issues, and mounting, all that good stuff. I think I may bite the bullet on this. Do you by any chance have any pictures of your setup?

I bought a Dell 2408WFP a few years ago. I liked it for office use, but gaming was not immersive whatsoever. I even tried to sit about 1.5 feet away from it, but it still didn't have the desired gaming experience. I sold it about 2 months after buying it.

I bought a 32" 1080P TV, and I prefer it so much more. I sit about 3 feet away from it, and that's perfect for me. Some people sit closer to theirs, but I think that's a bit excessive. The only thing I don't like about the TV compared to a monitor is that it doesn't sleep like a monitor would. Maybe there are some settings that can do this, but I've never figured it out.

That being said, not all 32" 1080P TVs are created equally. Mine is an IPS, which results in very low input lag. PVAs and MVAs (the Sceptre is probably one of these) have higher input lag, but my Dell 2408 was a PVA, so it's not like the problem is limited to TVs. Some TVs also don't display fonts very well. Mine had horrible bleeding of red fonts until I found some settings on hardforum that about 90% fixed the problem.
