Thread Details

I needed to renew my subscription for Norton 360 and came across this promo page for Adobe and Norton that offers a digital download copy of Norton 360 with 1 year of updates family pack which allows you to install the software on 3 machines.

I managed to successfully buy 9 subscriptions so I can renew them year after year.

Good price for someone who does not like to deal with rebates.

No rebates here....straight up $20

Uh oh: sadly, this includes 'auto-renewal' at current rates. That's a rip. $19 now, $69.00 next time.

Good if you care to stare at the renewal date and cancel

For those who don't know, you get what amounts to Norton 360 free by being a Comcast HSI subscriber. I use them and pay for it anyway (FAR), but...

Do you really believe that Comcast is giving you something for free. They just prorate it secretly in your monthly bill. They are probably even making money off it

Good hassle-free price but definitely don't like the auto-renew feature. Sounds like a good time to use a limited amount VISA Gift Card.

Or a virtual card # with a limit of $21 and a April '13 expiration. :-)

You can disable auto-renew once you login into mynortonaccount. that is not a problem at all.

Semantics. My point was to let Comcast subscribers know, if they didn't already, that they have this already at their disposal if they want it.

You can turn the auto-renewal off in your norton account pretty easily - it was one tick box for me.
