Yes, quite a mess indeed. You basically have to take the entire thing apart to get the new memory stick in. I bought a 4GB stick to double the RAM since I got this during the last deal for $154 AR.
Took me about 2 hours to do with careful disassembly and reassembly, but the extra 4Gb makes a big difference. Nice little budget lappy, I wanted a smaller, lighter one after my 15.6" Acer at 6lbs. About 30 days in, I am quite pleased with this find, and I thank you SD community.

What are you talking about? The $268.50 is what the point of sale price is. No employees are modifying pricing to get fired. Sounds like the employee told you to get lost and keep it for himself.

Price tag was over $500 in-store. Obviously not worth it, even with the $50 HP rebate and the $75 coupon. I don't know how people are getting the $268 point of sale price.

The tag may have said that but the register price can and does differ.

Should have had them scan it at least. Don't go off the price tag. I believe this clearance price is nationwide. Unless you were looking at the i3 model
