memory upgrade is a mess, have to dismantle the whole laptop
Yes, quite a mess indeed. You basically have to take the entire thing apart to get the new memory stick in. I bought a 4GB stick to double the RAM since I got this during the last deal for $154 AR.
Took me about 2 hours to do with careful disassembly and reassembly, but the extra 4Gb makes a big difference. Nice little budget lappy, I wanted a smaller, lighter one after my 15.6" Acer at 6lbs. About 30 days in, I am quite pleased with this find, and I thank you SD community.

and flavour of the day......greedy bastards "We can't continue to have a system where Wall Street executives privatize the gains and then socialize the losses. Accountability needs to be a two-way street,"
let's toast the executives at AIG for doing such a great job by granting them bonuses.......absolute crap and again no accountability.....

thank you so much! I picked up one from that store thanks to your post. Because I was so late to this thread I really did not think that there would be much point in searching...you changed that. Many thanks to you and the Op reps and thumbs up 4 you both when I get back home.
