Yeah, I saw that after I posted this. Not many people got that deal and it probably won't be back for a while, so this is decent for the time being. Not Black Friday, but if you want one now it's OK.

No free shipping for me from most places (Alaska is an overseas foreign country to a lot of online businesses that haven't looked at a map recently). I always have to check the fine print on every site "For Alaska and Hawaii, we currently offer only Second Day and Next Day shipping and a special handling fee may apply at checkout. I also prefer Amazon for anything close in price because of their stellar return policy.

Yeah, yeah...how about posting some good deals on internal hard drives instead of these external ones? With SATA cradles, internals are a better choice for space expansion than running all these vampyre power blocks on external cases...

if anyone has some of those $25 off $75/$100 coupons, they could get Staples to pricematch and then use it to get the drive for $85 + tax.

All USB 3.0 devices are backwards-compatible with USB 2.0. Just don't expect 3.0 speeds.

these appear to use a newer enclosure compared to previous Expansion externals. Has anyone cracked one open to see what drive is housed inside?

Are Seagate External Hard drives better or Western Digital......
