Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited on iOS! Annual sub for $5/month

I think this would be one of the rare times I would be willing to buy a lifetime sub for something like this to have access to all the back issues forever. (if that is what this sub does)
Not worth it for me though as I only have a tiny ipod touch. It sounds like a good enough deal though for those with large screens and new to comics.

You can access it via the web as well, if you don't mind reading on the computer.

When I first heard about this I was tempted, however, was holding off until an iPad app was available. But I have heard a lot of complaints about gaps in story arcs (i.e. only have 4 or 5 books of a 6 book story).

It's worth checking to see if this new app has "guided view" where individual panels are shown one at a time for smaller screens. (I don't know if it does.)

If you're a casual reader, you probably won't mind, it's not like every story has a critical missing issue. Just that if you MUST read EVERY X-Men comic, you'll be annoyed.

(By the way, it say gradually closing, which is not the same as rapidly closing.)

I'm not defending the decision, just pointing out that companies release products for markets that offer opportunity to earn the most amount of money with the least amount of effort and risk. Which market do you think has the most potential, the one that brings in $15m per day or $3.5m per day? So, while a closing gap means that the Android market might be more attractive to developers who care about money in the future, iOS is still more lucrative today... champ.

Hit it on the nose, was about to make that comment. My grandma wanted a smartphone, bought a Android becuase they are cheap....doesn't know how to use it...add that to the pot of Android users. Sure you can buy iphone 4 for free, but who wants a free phone that is from 2010? Not me.
