Whey protein is extracted from natural sources but just that fact itself doesn't make them natural. Just like with Cheese, the process and what you extract matters. Processed cheese food is just junk. Aged raw goat's milk cheese from the Alps is natural. Both are cheeses at some level. The processing of whey protein is part nature, part chemistry, part industrial engineering that involves the use of a lot of nasty chemicals to extract, isolate and make it possible to store and transport without spoiling and with no refrigeration needed. It is not the same thing as drinking whey liquid that comes out of cheese extraction. For example, all Whey protein products contain many heavy metals including Arsenic and Mercury because of the processing. This is not natural. They are small enough in quantity that it will not affect most people in reasonable doses but remember that this is adding to the metals, toxins and pesticides and pollution that you are already exposed to everyday, so the effect on each person can be different. Overconsumption of any of these things can be bad. In moderate and reasonable amounts that is appropriate for each person, they can be more beneficial than harmful but many people over- consume these things in addition to other protein intakes being obsessed with sculpting their body. That isn't natural and can be harmful in the long run with liver and kidney issues. Don't think of this as food but as a supplement to provide easily absorbed protein that is suitable WITHIN your total protein requirements as long as it is in moderation. It is not a cure for not keeping fit with good and balanced diet and working out. Check with your physician on your next check up on what your target protein intake should be per day for your age and lifestyle and if necessary (you are not getting enough protein otherwise) make this a small part of that and you will be fine. Golden Rule of a Deal: If an item has been offered validly at a price of $X at any time, then never pay more than that in the future. It has been discontinued or will appear again at that price soon enough.

I firmly believe from my years of controlled experimentation and astute observation that breathing, which is itself a process of oxidation, can eventually lead to cancer under any circumstances.
IMHO if we can eradicate breathing, we can prevent and kill off cancer cells. So far, this has proven to work very well. One day, we can eradicate cancer that way. |

Cows raised on pastures with love and named Daisy and Clara and that produce Organic Milk - No. The whey protein that comes from them costs about $30/lb, but it is worth it. |
