Nice product & Deal. I grabbed one of these from a previous SD posting last year, and it works great, including with our fax machine. Fwiw, I used the instructions on OBi's site for porting our old LAN # over to google voice http://www.obihai.com/porttutorial.html. It's a two step process that involves T-Mobile, as others above have pointed out, and at the time our total cost came to about $21 total: $20 for the google port fee and $1 for the t-mobile prepaid sim card.

I have the Obihai 100 and one of the original Ooma boxes. Great free phone service, two lines running into the house, and NO AT&T!

Can someone please explain to me how this thing works? So I need to get physical telephone too? What options are there for service and pricing? Thanks. I've been looking to get one for a while but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it.

Getting one of these has been on my backburner for awhile... surprised this CAN do fax... damn you for making me spend $60 !!! (Thankfully I have some Amazon GC that I bought for 10% off, so this is actually $54 for me!)

plug into your router and plug a regular telephone into the obitalk device. You essential get a telephone line and number free through google voice. That's it. |
