I assume you are taking about the Amex additional insurance program. This is on top of the insurance supplied by a credit card, which is coverage as a secondary carrier. The additional insurance makes them the primary carrier versus your own personal policy on the collusion. I think (not sure) that you will not be subject to any deductibles. I only take out this policy if I have the car for a long rental and driving in tough weather (like snow). Then the $25 cost spread out over the long rental seems more trivial.

Nice deal, need to see what my budget down the street has in stock. Im looking for a new car, and wouldnt mind renting a few cars for a week at a time to see how well they fit me.

However, the odds of getting into an accident is very low for most people. So it's basically throwing money away. I'd only pay for the extra insurance if driving in snow.

Looks like you still can in most locations. Good tip though, if you can't get it to work and the location is not blacked out try without a coupon. Hawaii locations and LAX took the discount but not the coupon and there may be others.

Good question. No, I do not know. It doesn't say anything about an ID (like AAA) or anything else when I booked. I emailed them to ask if they would give me something comparable for the same rate if the F150 was not available. They said yes and no mention of IDs or certain requirements. You could always randomly call and ask what the requirements are for that code. You could also make a reservation and then inquire specifically through email so you have it in writing. And if they said you needed a certain ID, you could always cancel without any fees. Let me know if you find anything out.
