I was thinking about this one instead

I mean, this one is huge. The instant will probably fit only 4 comfortably, It seems to have a much better ventilation, higher and instant (for what it is worth).however, very big when folded, and much more expensive than this one.

Any thoughts?

I was on the market for a size upgrade to accommodate the new mutt! If you are using an Amazon gift card, select a different form of payment to apply the discount, and then switch it to the gift card before you finalize. It will hold.

I've been looking at upgrade tents for a while now. For the past 5-6 years, my wife and I have been just fine with a relatively small tent that's easy to setup and has enough room for the two of us plus our two dogs. However, now that we have a child, we're looking to upgrade to something that'll last us through the next 10-20 years. We'd like to have at least 2 rooms (one for my wife and I, one for our kid(s)), and I've seen a couple that include a third screen room that would be great for our dogs or for keeping some outside stuff dry (e.g., coolers, chairs, etc.). I'm thinking of something like the Coleman WeatherMaster 6 -> http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Wea...nt+outdoor .

When I was growing up, my family had a large tent with metal poles (read: very heavy and a pain to setup), but it accommodated our 5-person family very well, and it's still in great condition even though my parents bought it 25 years ago (it's a Coleman, though I suspect the quality is different than today's "as sold at Walmart" Coleman models).

Since I'm hoping to have it for 10+ years, I don't really mind spending several hundred bucks for a quality tent (especially for a "Made in the USA" tent). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Have used this tent for 3+ years. It's great. Plenty of room for tons of campers. If you are one of those campers that needs a blow up mattress (which my wife is from time to time) you can fit a queen size and still have plenty of room for the rest of the family. Good price.

I have a Coleman Red Canyon tent. It is flipping awesome. I have used it several times and still going strong. I have owned many
tents and it the best I have ever used for Spring/Summer/Early Fall camping (I live in Ohio).

Would be 99 with the 20 automatic coupon.

BTW. I went camping with two people that had Ozarks trail tents. Both were absolute garbage. My fam was dry while they were getting soaked.

Spend the extra money and get something that lasts.

PS: Even though the Red Canyon is a great tent, whenever I buy a new tent the first thing I do is set it up on a nice day and spray down every seam with Kiwi Camp Dry, Heavy Duty Water Repellent just for added leak insurance: For a little over 6 bucks shipped it's a no-brainer.

I've got 3 little kids and no tent...this is tempting. Great thing is if the bank forecloses, we can live in it?
