Any reviews on the shoes? I have pretty bad shin splints.

Never looked into minimalist running shoes. I second v1ciouz, anyone have any personal experience on these?

On second thought, I went ahead and bought the Inov8 Road-X 255. I'm interested in trying it out and if not, will ask for a return or exchange. And yes, have customer service thru chat apply the $10 "Joybomb" code after you place your order. I'm in CA and my total came out to $39.70 after shipping and taxes.

Is Derailed owned by Sierra Trading Post or something? If you could get free shipping using a phone app, like you can with Sierra, then that would make this even better.

I really like Inov-8 shoes. They generally last a very long time, especially for shoes that are so light weight.

My only problem with them has been that the actual sizes of their shoes can to change from year to year, even for the same model. Buy the same shoe two years later, it may or may not fit. Kinda odd, but great shoes.

I have heard quite a few comments regarding the size irregularities and that they run small.
That said, those that find the right fit generally love them.

I made the change to minimalist and then barefoot (well not full barefoot but vibrams). Wish I never did, injured my right foot about 3 years ago, and now I can't run more than 1/2 a mile (also jumping/walking/other physical activities that require me to push off the foot) before there's too much pain to go on.

I've had countless MRIs/Xrays/Physical therapy sessions/did RICE for a year straight/nerve tests/seen countless specialists around the country. I'm seeing another doctor this Monday as a matter of fact.

But that's just me, others have great success with barefoot/minimalist running. And it is proven to have benefits. I wish I never made the switch; I fell to the hype. My regular shoes shoes never gave me problems; I just wanted to try something new, something everyone was raving about. Every doctor I've seen has talked about the increase in foot injuries due to the rise in popularity of barefoot shoes. Don't let my personal experience deter you, I just can't recommend minimalist/vibram/barefoot to anyone due to what I've been through.

My CSR said the same thing but you must make it clear to them that the terms and conditions of the promo clearly do not limit it on use of clearance items. They are just being lazy and are not reading the restrictions themselves!

go to a running store and have them ananlyze your feet as you run. chances are you're running wrong. I have the same problem.
