So confused...

since when is it normal to upgrade your laptop cpu?

Also the price for an i7 mobile chip on newegg is $600. So why wouldn't you just buy it with one?

oh, well i was able to obtain a few free i7 cpus at my one job.. so the cpu was free ymmv on getting a free i7. me i work on computers for a living so modding is completely within realm of being normal Big Grin

simple i matched the wattage and this particular laptop has a whole list of intel cpus you can use if your wallet can handle it which will only set you back a few hundred if you reallllllllly want to. the thermal solution was free or 99 cents. gosh its been posted like several times.. if you dont have arctic silver or thermaltake or antec thermal paste the deals pop up for it. i3 to i7 pretty damn significant i didnt even bother going to an i5. again if you go to fujitsu's site this thing goes up the list Smilie

. among cpu options its a portable desktop!.

not everyone has time to wait and see. I dont see why it should be thumbed down as not a good price. find a laptop right now that can have these kind of specs this week. not a month or two or maybe 6 months down the road.. I dont see whats bad about getting a $100 check as a rebate..

Not saying it's bad, not going to glow over it or consider it much of a deal either.
