I'd save the 30 bucks. In most practical cases these perform the same.
As far as I know there are only 2 or 3 500mbps chipsets. The cheaper 500 have a newer atheros chip with built in 10/100. These have a Broadcom chip with separate gigabit so they are slightly larger. That's why ones are cheaper smaller but only have 10/100. The newer atheros is actually a slightly better performer with longer distances. In more ideal situations like new wiring same room this one and the netgear are better. |
