I switched to Beta and i know that the score doesn't allow you to refresh, but even when I had the regular CK, i could refresh everyday but my score would only change at a weekly basis so I don't think the refresh did anything. I may be wrong but it seems like credit karma refreshes scores at a weekly level either way

It was free with BOA. Atleast you can meet a real person if something goes wrong.

I closed my account with them. It is useless service. I though they do provide credit score from all credit unions but that is not the case and the score they show is just an indicator.
Never shows what inquires on my credit record. Giving me crazy ideas like open more account to improve my credit score. Always shows my score is around 750, in reality mine is over 800. It seems like, they get all your information and trying to sell as many products, credit cards offers etc to make money. Do no presume that, they provide a real time credit monitoring and will tell you in real time who accessed your credit and what was the nature of inquiry. Buland Bharat ki Buland Tasveer.......hamarabajaj !!!

What he said! Since I don't pay for the service I'm not gonna complain all that much, but in reality, you have to take their "scores" with a HUGE grain of salt. Their supposed score was about 30 points off from what mine actually is. I made the mistake (stupidly) of shopping around for a refi using their score, when in reality it wasn't even close to right. Kinda embarrassing when the broker actually came back with my real score and I had to renegotiate. I do like that it's free though, and that it does give a basic rundown of what's on your credit report.

I'm all for being critical of services, especially ones like these but uninformed critique is never productive. |

I signed up for it in the past. I have linked my different credit cards and bank accounts. Initially I wanted it because of its "credit monitoring" advertisement, but in all reality it's like a week behind my credit card/bank statements. Although it does give you insight on why your credit score is what it is (missed payments/debt to income ratio/short credit history). I don't rely on it to catch someone stealing my identity, but I don't check it from time to time to get a generalization of my credit score..
