Normally Credit Karma offers you daily credit updates using their in-house algorithm.
So after upgrading you can only update your score 1/week not 1/day ... why is that ? Do they provide you with your real FICO credit score after signing up for the beta ? Why would credit score refreshes be limited after signing up for the beta? And what does the beta actually offer besides the Mint-like functionality? |

They never claimed their scores were accurate. They calculate them based on what they know about you and give you a best estimate. Also, note that the three credit bureaus calculate the scores differently and have different scales, so your score varies between those too and depending on which bureau the broker uses to check your score against, you may get a higher or lower number than you see there.

I just signed into my CK account, and apparently they automatically put me on the beta?? I didn't click ANYTHING to do with it, but now it's telling me my next score update will be "available March 10," and the whole site looks completely different. Lame.

Quit complaining, it's free! Do you guys have a better free alternative? I find this very useful for growing my credit score, obviously it's not going to be accurate, how can it be accurate without actually pulling your credit score from the companies (which lowers your credit score)?

The new site pulls it automatically if you haven't been back in 7 days. On the whole, users like the automated approach much better. Combined with that fact that credit reports are monitored on a nightly basis at the credit bureau itself, no value is lost. |

Can someone please explain this? I understand that they "only" provide you with TransUnion score. But that score is(as far as i understand) accurate TransUnion score. I saw comments about it being only the estimate many times, even in some financial articles. I also know that 3 scores are slightly different, but if we can get one score + monitoring for free i dont know how anyone can complain. Again, do they provide us with ACCURATE score or not? |
