It's just Windows 7 with a home screen in front of it and a missing start button. It's not like the entire OS is different. You're not obligated to download apps from the Microsoft app store. You can just hit the little desktop button on the home screen when you boot up and that's that. If you need to run an app you can either create a shortcut on the desktop or hit the windows button on your keyboard which will bring you back the Windows tile interface and type the name of the program. It's not overly complicated or difficult. So sick of people complaining. You would think that Microsoft didn't take their customers into consideration at all when designing this product. This is what people wanted. They wanted big stupid easy to press buttons and live tiles. If they got rid of the standard desktop that would be a different story but that's not the case so if you can just relax with the W8 bashing it'd be greatly appreciated. I have my own cartoon series ...which you may or may not be interested in.
The show is Sean and Such and the website is www.SeanAndSuch.com. |

+ I got a Win 8 laptop (HP g7 the two day Staples coupon that didn't have the exlusion) weeks ago for my Dad who's very not computer-savvy. His skills are limited to clicking on the favorites tabs I created for him to read his news, sports, etc. Windows 8 is actually perfrect for him because of that first screen where he has an easy "Weather" app, "News", Internet...I think for someone older and not down with computers...I think Win 8 is actually better. Some people have cigarette....some people alcohol.....some have weed....others cocaine....and finally some crack.......I have Slickdeals..........and I CAN'T STOP...............help me
BEST QUOTE I'VE EVER SEEN ON CLICKDEALS AND THE MOST ACCURATE !!!------------> "I'm going broke saving money" |
