amazon seller question Jan 25 I sold a graphing calculator. Jan 28th calculator was received by buyer. 5-6 days later I hear the calculator is now broke and will I do a return. I say sure, once I get it back and verify the serial number is the one I sent you, I'll give your money back. I hear nothing for a while till Feb 16th when I get sent a message from her on amazon with the only content being a url link to a virus. I waited to open it on a sandbox to not get infected since it looked 99.9% fishy. I reported this message to amazon but never heard anything back about it. I dont hear anything from her actually talking till today when I have an official return request through amazon. About 40 days after she received the item. What am I obligated to do? isn't amazon's policy 30 days after receiving it? What if the calc is not broken and she just needed it for a class for a short time? What if the calc really is broken but it is not the one I sent her? |

as per amazons own return policy, Amazon itself, does not even let customers return items after 30 days.
But she did not return in 30 days. I would definitely NOT pay for shipping back. also, item needs to have box and all docs returned as well. I had a similar experience with a text book. The person bought it everything was fine then about 4-5 weeks later. They said the book was tore up and they wanted to return it. It was more then 30 days so i cited amazons 30-day policy. The buyer filed a A-Z guarantee thing and amazon ruled I owed them a refund. When I got the book back the cover was bent that was the only damage ,and there was highlighting in it and a homework assignment with the buyers name on it. I second the previous poster welcome to the amazon world of scammers. Thankfully there aren't many of them.

I denied her return and told her sorry that it was outside the 30 days and now she just lets me know she shipped it back and crying that shes a poor college student blah blah. wtf? why would you ship it back before a return is authorized?

Don't forget she has 90 days from the day she bought that calc from you to open an A-Z claim and get all her money back. Amazon always take sides with buyers. She also has 90 days to leave you a negative feedback. I sell about 1000 items daily from my seller account and have been dealing with people like her everyday, it sucks
