HP2605DN sleep issue?

This is not quite as severe a problem as I used to have with my Oki 5200, with its intermittent error messages requiring power off/power on and a lengthy initialization before I could print. For that printer, I had to enter a cryptic series of codes to reset the drum usage counter. Tons of google searching found the necessary secrets. In your case, I'd search google for "HP 2605DN Windows offline", if no one on here has the clue.

#1 thing that comes to mind in your case is to suggest updating the printer driver directly from the manufacturer's web site (they do publish updates when they hear about customer problems). Another thing is to update Windows itself. You wouldn't want to disable power-saving mode except as a last resort.
