Some said they lost wifi and fan comes pretty loud.
I have done the update. While I don't have any issues with fan or IRST, I did notice that now I get one bar less on my wifi in exactly the same spot that used to get full signal.

By the way I finally managed to upgrade the SSD, copy partitions, resize them and fixed OKR as well, let me know if you guys are interested in a short how to.

By the way the IFFS mentioned in the change log is the "intel Fast Flash Standby" (aka IRST). Given I didn't have any issues with IRST (with the older BIOS you will need to uninstall the stock app because it didn't have a management interface, might be the reason behind this update) I don't see much value with this update.

Unfortunately there is no way to revert now, lenovo never published the stock BIOS, and the update app was in Chinese so even if it did have a backup option I wouldn't have known Smilie

Edit: BIOS was pulled off Lenovo's update page yesterday, and Lenovo failed to provide the earlier BIOS for people to fall back on to.

Edit 2: They fixed the Chinese only interface of the update application and pushed it again.

Did you install the trackpad hack as mentioned in this topic thread? The only time that happens on mine is when I click down with two fingers on the center of the trackpad.

Hi,

I'm considering a Lenovo Yoga 13 i5. But I read everywhere about that fan noise which should be fixed with the BIOS update.

On the Lenovo Community, they say that it isn't solved for some Yoga 13 and that the fans keep running a max speed.

I'm wondering if it is related to i7 which may have a higher temperature and if any owner of i5 can tell if they still have the issue after the upgrade.

Also, for the Yoga i5, there seems to be a i5-3317u CPU and i5-3317u CPU. Can someone tell the difference besides of the frequency slightly higher for i5-3337u? Is it a model with SATA 3 MB as I read somewhere here?

Thanks,

Axello
