2 batteries for this alone cost that much!
I own this and its nice and would recommend for light/med duty.

Link takes me to a bare hitachi drill.

I DID say in the original post that the link using the item number I found on the box will show bare tools on lowes website, even though the box on sale in store was the complete kit with batteries, charger.

Looks like using your zip came up with a lower price than my zip. Typical of Lowes items.

For some, even though it says bare tools, the specification says two batteries are included.

Does anyone know if the flashlight is a bulb or LED?

Thanks RamblinMan!! I needed a drill/driver so this was perfect timing. I was able to use the $10 off $50 coupon from this thread. The clerk scanned it with no problem from my crappy inkjet printout. Before tax: $69.97.

I bought in Lincoln, CA. The website said 3 in stock but there were 4. It was updated when I got home. My guess is that they show 1 less than what they actually have.

I looked all over the drill section, end caps, and tools. I had to ask and then help the guy find it on the overstock shelf (another aisle, top shelf). There is no indication on the floor that this model is available. Associate's in store inventory checker showed 4.

It was a complete kit for me including the flashlight, drill, 2 batteries, charger and case.

I'm pretty sure the TOOLS have lifetime warranty, but the batteries have a 2-year warranty.
