Panasonic TC-P55ST50 55" Plasma 3D Smart HDTV $1099+ tax at Best Buy B&M YMMV

Granted this is a great TV but it has been around 1000$ before, also I could get the 55ST60 from EPP website for 1275$ (pre-order price)

With tax this is not that great of a deal.

To my knowledge it's never been below like $1080 + tax on EPP, and like $1150 elsewhere. I think Paul's had it briefly for $1100. I would have bought it at $1000.

It is the cheapest I've seen in a while for a model that is available right now. I'm not saying that someone shouldn't wait for the ST60, but there's no reason to say that this isn't worth it when compared to the current market prices of this exact model.

It's not exactly something most people want to be holding a neon sign pointing to it, clearly the only way to do this besides having a legitimate member share their with you, is to scam the system by lying/presenting fraudulent credentials. I'm not sure what SD's outlook is on it although It can't take it too seriously, there are many people who instinctually get a little perturbed when they see the "dummies guide to cheating EPP system" and such threads. I'll admit I am one of them, I have yet to lose my cool but I do consider it to be an employment benefit and as it gets more and more watered down the chances of real unique offers and savings go down quite a bit. That said, if you are determined to do it when one of those threads pop up, take the extra few minutes to PM the person(s) offering to aha their info because that's much less of a detriment to the system than having 100 fraudulent accounts registering one night.

I'm not attacking you or any such thing please don't take it as such, I am just presenting a POV that at lest IMO justifies not linking or writing a step by step. I think the last time I saw one the keywords would be Panasonic EPP and the OP was offering to share his info. It was no more than 3 months ago max

Again, thanks for nothing. Feel free to litter someone else's thread. Was simply asking for a little more information into EPP. None of the threads that talked about EPP were current at all. I know how to search.

ZERO offense taken. Thank you very much for the explanation and I appreciate your point of view. I completely understand now, given that info, why there are not many threads that discuss using Panasonic's EPP without having an employer that participates. I was simply confused as to how laphroaigh was insinuating that if you have SD, you have EPP. Again, thank you for clarifying this for me and I'm sure many others.
