It's actually really useful if she turns off her computer after checking her e-mail since it will boot up so much faster the next time she wants to check. It sucks to wait 3 minutes for your computer to finish booting just to spend 30 seconds checking to see if you got new email.

At the very least you can replace your old hard drive with this one. You would need to open the case up and see if there's an extra slot to put this hard drive. Also you should see 2 cables going into the original hard drive. See if there's an extra power cable that you can plug into the new one and if there's an extra slot on the motherboard for another SATA cable.

Thanks, picked this up after waiting since Black Friday for a great SSD deal. $40 off a very well reviewed SSD finally did the job for me. There is tax but it is negated with my Discover 5% back.

As a prev poster mentioned the HyperX (blue) is the top of the line but this is the 3K (grey) so title is misleading.

The blue was this price several months back at MacMall

The blue/5k drive was never affordable, that Macmall deal was one of the only times it was at a reasonable price.

point is $90 for HyperX Blue is a deal, $90 for HyperX 3K is warm w/o coupons so if you're going to put it in the title at least put the full product name. Sort of like GTX 460 vs GTX 460 SE

If you got a free $25 coupon then it's a deal. $90 for 3K is not a good deal. I rather buy 840 PRO.
