You can't be serious. There is no other musician that was born in this Universe that can claim to be better than him. If he had lived until his 60s, it probably would've been more than 500 CDs as prolific and versatile as he was.

Ghandi may not be the saint many make him out to be. Sure, he certainly did some amazing things, but here's a Penn & Teller episode that offers a different perspective. Search for the "Holier Than Thou" episode.

I am very interested in a movie about Ghandi but not one in which Ghandi is played by a British actor. I also am uninterested in Lincoln in which Lincoln is British. Many people think it is ridiculous to buy an American flag made in China.

Does anyone know of a good movie about Ghandi made in India (or at least Ghandi played by a person of India) with actors that speak English (not dubbed) I can understand? If it has not been done then it will be successful when it is done.

Not sure if you are already aware Ben Kingsley is Indian Origin, and has roots to the same state GUJARAT as of Gandhi.

Most of the cast in this Movie is Indian. The movie was partly funded and sponsored by the Govt. of India and filmed in India. It was in the works for a long time and finally Mr. Attenborough managed to bring all of it together. Also note Sir Kingsley is half-Indian ( at least Ethnically ) and his real name is Krishna Pandit Bhanji. and Mr. Attenborough has done a wonderful job ( keeping the authenticity of the movie intact ) unlike Mr. Lean's movies like Lawrence of Arabia which tend to be more fictional rather than try and be a true depiction of History.

I personally prefer the British/American Production crew to the Bollywood ones as it results in a movie - better made and a story - better told and a lot of Internationally acclaimed Indian Movie makers have adopted this style of film-making of late.
