1. EA does not understand that NOBODY LIKES ORIGIN! Just sell on Steam!
2. The DRM will be cracked by piraters eventually. I give them 2-3 weeks and the DRM EA put is pointless and the actual paying customers have to deal with server issues....
3. SimCity looks nice, but really? DLC on launch day?
I prefer Origin instead of Steam... Origin launches my games and gets the hell out of the way, when it's needed to even launch with. Steam requires me to be signed in ALWAYS, has a bloated interface filled with random features and crap that I couldn't care less about, has horrendous customer service if you ever need it (email only that takes a week to respond vs. livechat, PHONE, or email with Origin), and overall is glitchier. Origin > Steam.
I think the worst part about games that require an online connection for single player is what happens when EA stops supporting the game and shuts down the server. On occasion I play 10 year old games that is only possible because no online server is required. Nowdays it seems like the shelf life of the game is determined by the corporation rather than the customer. Pure fraud and a complete ripoff.
Even for $30 it wont be worth it. Boycotting the game until EA changes their ways is what should be done. Customers that say for $30 I'll live with it enables corporations to take advantage of customers. You really cannot live without the game and rather pay $30 to deal with flaws. I cant believe that. They would have to pay me to play the game.
