I bought this TV around last month of Jan from BestBuy for $2705 and absolutely love this TV. It's sad to see the price go down on this TV and right now it's at $15xx. The picture is the best I have seen so far and makes everyone who come to my home go "WoooooooooW" and it has so many bells and whistles which you don't use majority of the time. Anyway, at this price...it's a steal. Wish I waited just a month Frown

Not thread crapping, I just don't get Best Buy's price match policy benefit.

Why would I buy from them when I have to leave my house, go to store, get identical price, and pay tax? When I can get best price, pay no tax, and have it at my door in a couple days. Just saying if they want to "win customers" they need to go 5% below best price or something to off set the taxes I have to pay and compensate for time etc.
4% cash back and 24 month 0% financing

FP? what a joke. crap TV with premium price
This is one of the best TVs for the price and especially the quality... can you recommend a better TV for the same price or a better TV in general?

No thread was made for it. I was keeping an eye on the es7500 to see if amazon would get more in since they sold out when the tablet deal was going on. The restock only a handfull and sold out within 30 mins of updating the website.

$100 SquareTrade plan from Costco might be a good call.

Can you buy the costco warranty on this since you are not purchasing it directly from costco?

Very tepid review for such an expensive set. Picture quality is the number one thing in a television. You would be better off getting a Panasonic 55ST50 on sale and saving yourself $300-500.
Or better yet, get the 60" Panasonic TC-P60GT50 for a few dollars more and enjoy the extra 19% of screen and a far better picture.

The only downside to the Panny for the same amount of money is the lack of 3D glasses but it's just a gimmick that doesn't really add much to my enjoyment of shows or movies to me anyway.

I bought this TV a few weeks ago from BB at $2199.00 Called last week to price match $1750 at Ratuken and was told that was not a site they would match and that new policy was 15 days. Ordered last week from Amazon at 1849.00 and got price match today for $150 credit before I even received it and just took the unopened box back to BB and got full credit.

I looked at many TVs at different stores and this was the best picture, bar none. I have a very light room so plasma is a no go. I'm very happy with this TV after 3 weeks. My wife who barely notices HD even commented what a great picture.

In my opinion, this is a great buy!

Got in on the deal on the 7100 last week, had my local BBY price match.

Returned it and had Amazon price match the 55ES8000. No tax and free shipping, can't beat that deal.
I"m chatting with Amazon, and having a hard time to get a pricematch. They don't know where to find the price at final checkout. I ended up stop chatting with them.

I bought mine through Rewards Zone Silver rep... pick up in store... Before I got to store they only had Open box left... got an additional 10%off!

So a 8000 for 1584.99 - 158.50 = 1426.49 + tx not tooo shabby!

Yes! It says it right on the page, and you have 60 days to buy it from date of purchase.

"Costco members may also purchase a SquareTrade Service plan to cover a new TV purchased outside of Costco from an authorized retailer in the US. Service Plan must be bought within 60 days of purchasing the TV. "

Great deal and I seriously considered it but I think I will hold out for a Pan VT60 (like the new stand over the 50 since I won't be wall mounting)

Pan's are decent TVs...if you can get by the terrible, pastel skin tones that no amount of calibration can fix. Oh, and the fact they are notorious for burn-in - and no, I'm not talking about image retention.

Source: I repair and calibrate TVs as a side business.
