man, I wish I had $$$ to put towards a k-5ii + these primes. I've heard it's just an awesome camera (with trade-offs of course)

d5200 has better sensor score, higher mega pixels, and is significantly cheaper. Not good enough Pentax..

It's really strange because the sensor from the d5200 is suppose to be so awesome, but when I'm looking at shots taken from the d5200, they just seem so blurry or have color inaccuracies, on top of all that, I hear button layout ergonomics are not that great. I was looking into getting a d5200 but it just doesn't seem good to me.

The D5200 also has microfocus adjustment, top LCD, weather sealed construction, 1/8000 shutter speed, in body shake reduction, Magnesium alloy shell, APS-C sensor with no anti-aliasing filter, etc. I don't think so.

At the end of the day, it's really more about the photographer than specs anyway.

Right. People like to knock Pentax without really taking a good hard look at anything but the numbers. The Pentax is a pro grade camera with top notch build quality and options you just don't see in other cameras in it's price range. I couldn't care less about the MPs, at the end of the day it's about the options on the body and the quality of the actual images. Pentax has fantastic image quality, most of the shooting options you'd ever want, and it's durable as hell. Does that make it the right camera for everyone? No, but it's a fantastic camera that fills a void in marketplace for those who do want its feature set.

damn.... I have a k5, 8-16 sigma, 28mm f2 kiron manual, 50mm f1.7 manual, and 50-200 WR. I've been searching the used adds for months looking for some limited glass in these FL--I find myself missing unexpected action shots without autofocus and aperture priority. This set would be dreamy--don't think i can justify the effort and resale fees of selling the body though... maybe i just need a backup body right? ... I can always dream.

That and I'm still waiting on my macro 35mm 2.8 adorama had on sale a month or so ago. Seriously questioning whether i made the right choice at 535$ over the DA 35 2.4.

The older K-5 even beats the D5200.

Oh, you know what, I was talking about the d3200, sorry. But sensor is the same, but I guess I'm in totally different classes when comparing the d3200 to the pentax.
