What about the readers on computers? I'm sure the old reader in my dell does not support SD Spec 3.01. Are there any good SD Spec 3.01 readers? Would it need to be USB3.0?

Yeah for sure they'll have to be USB 3.0. Even if you had a USB 2.0 reader that happened to be SD Spec 3.01, you'd be limited by USB 2.0's max read/write speed (36MB/s, 31MB/s)

You can test out how fast your cards are performing by doing a buffer write test.

All you'd have to do is:
- put your camera in burst (continuous FPS)
- use RAW (or RAW+JPEG). JPEG alone won't saturate the write buffer
- use MF (optional, but you wouldn't have to focus)

Get a timer/stopwatch ready, and shoot! Start the time when you see the red light go on, and then stop it when it's done.

With a T2i, you'd probably only shoot 4-5 RAW photos before the buffer fills, and you'd have to wait for xx amount of MB/s written to the card before you can take an extra shot.

Example 1:
- Shoot 4 RAW photos
- Timed red light = 5 seconds
- File size created was 25MB each = 100MB
- 100MB / 6 seconds = 20MB/s write buffer from camera to card
--- if the buffer maxes out at around 20-22MB/s, then this card is pretty good

Example 2:
- Shoot 4 RAW photos
- Timed red light = 9 seconds
- File size created was 25MB each = 100MB
- 100MB / 10 seconds = 10MB/s write buffer from camera to card
--- if the buffer maxes out at around 20-22MB/s, then this card is not good enough because it is bottlenecking the full potential write speed of the buffer

P.S. the SanDisk Extreme 45MB/s SD card will perform the same as the Sony MSPD HG HX in the NEX-5N
