these are different cards with ones in OP being uhs-1 and with proper usb 3.0 card reader the card is about 4x faster than the other (read speed)

Thanks! I got 4 of them. You can never have enough memory cards for DSLR video. From the specs and reviews they match my SanDisk Extremes.

usb 3.0 is mandatory even for non-uhs-1 cards... I have some older sandisk 45mb/s ones and they perform much faster I think usb 2.0 caps out aroun 30mb/s |

FYI I left out a benchmark on purpose (as to not confuse). However, this benchmark expands on your comment re: max speed of USB 2.0 - USB 2.0 is 480mbit/s (or, 60MB/s) - after overhead/QoS/error correction/etc... the final speed is roughly 36MB/s read and 31MB/s write. Therefore... In a USB 3.0 card reader / USB 2.0 Port ========= Read |=| Write B&H -------- ~36MB/s | ~31MB/s Rakuten --- ~22MB/s | ~10MB/s source: tested it myself
