is this game any good?

It's crazy. Suda 51 makes good games.

This is one of those games you'll play and love for about 10-15 hours, and then realize it's not that good. for $20 it's worth it just for the experience.

Most games, I don't even love them for more than 1 playthrough, which is average at 8hrs. This is more of a wacky hack n slash game so yeah, it's good for about 2-3 playthroughs so your 10-15 hrs of love is accurate. I played through twice before I sold it. Don't mind to buy it again for another playthrough for $10 or less. Yeah I missed it during the BF sale.

i got it for $20, didn't beat it though. I put about 10 hours into it, and I would say it was a worthwhile purchase just because of how bizarre it was.

for under 20 it is worth it

i got a little frustrated with this game and stopped after 20mins. Doesn't make sense that I don't one hit zombies when I have a chainsaw. Should've just added a bigger mob to make it harder.

This game is amazing. A no-brainer for under $20. Seriously. One of the most fun and original games I've played this generation... do yourself a favor.

If you enjoy B-movie, then definitely. I got the game for $10 at Sony Store and love every bit of it until my PS3 YLOD.

The soundtrack for this game was phenomenal. I was interested when first hearing about this because of Grasshopper/Suda, of course. But hearing that Jimmy Urine of MSI was going to do some voice-over work and contribute some music was icing on the cake.

The game has "okay" combat; not as deep as Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, or Bayo, but simple and still fun with plenty of moves to unlock and upgrade. It doesn't have AAA graphics, but I thought it looked better than Shadows of the Damned and ran better too, frame-rate-wise. Plenty of unlockables that would warrant at least another playthrough (costumes, songs, and other assorted things that any other studio would have charged for as DLC). And dat soundtrack...

It isn't a Halo- or Uncharted-calibur game by any means, but it did have some good deals and discounts at launch to reflect that. I thought it was worth the price I paid when it hit, but I have a lot of fun with Grasshopper games and really enjoy their quirk and style that they put into them; I'm a "Day One" customer for any game they release.
At this price though, I would easily recommend it to any fan of the studio, Suda 51 fan, zombie fan, or hack'n'slash fan.
