Nook tablet 16gb $66 AC Cowboom

Great deal if you can get a grade 6. I got my dad one for Christmas, put cm10 on a sd card and he loves it. The previous posts about using a Sandisk class 4 card are correct, I tried using an extra Kingston class 4 that I had and the thing was slow and laggy. With the Sandisk, this thing ran run circles around our aging iPad 1. I'm tempted to pick one up for myself.



You need to create an image on the sd card. A simple copy and paste will not work. Google is your friend.

What's the deal with the charger, anyway? I'm assuming it's just a higher amp charger, but it still plugs into the USB cable, yes? So any USB cable will eventually charge, though a 2amp or more is better, maybe? Or is there another type of port for charger?

What if you picked up a class 10 Micro SD card? Would that work? I have a class 10 laying around that i thought would work with this mod. Your thoughts please.

No dont use class 10. Class 6 should be max. 10 will be too fast forcing the nook to try to catch up at times it seems which will look like choppyness on your end for some apps while others have that freeze look then jumps around. Class 4 to 6 has worked out for just about everyone. However some ppl have had little to no issues on 10. You can try it for yourself but mine didnt work properly on 10.

It's not the charger as much as the cable. It looks like micro usb, but is deeper so the nook knows to charge at the faster rate. I think you can use any higher amp charger with the official cable, but you cant use the official charger with a regular cable to get a fast charge (it'll do the overnight trickle charge.)

I cant believe I bought kindle touch for $55. when adding some $15 gives this ! Now considering to return that one and hope something like this come by again

There seemed to be just a handfull on this sale. It was also as cheap as the nook color and that may have been a mistake.
