can anyone confirm that you can downgrade a Chase Ink Bold to a Chase Ink Classic to avoid the annual fee? If so, does that effect your credit score at all? Thanks!

Are you sure? Bold is a charge card. I think you can do Ink Plus > Ink Classic, but I'd be surprised if you could do a Bold > Ink classic
I just double-checked on a few bookmarked blogs and posts on FT. Yes you can. (Unless something's changed...) And yes, I know it's a charge card, but from what I've read, you can do it. You can downgrade either to the Classic.
