jcpenney Clearance Merchandise, Kid's, Women's, Men's $1-$5 YMMV

I stopped into a jcpenney to see a friend of mine and saw a bunch of racks of merchandise in the women's area that had $2 and $4 signs on them. I asked my friend about it and he said that they have thousands of pieces of merchandise marked anywhere from $1-$5 in men's, women's, and the kid's departments.

I asked him if it was just his store doing this. He told me that this is going on in every store in the company. They were told to have it priced and out by Sunday or Monday.

I will tell you that there were areas all over his store with tons of items marked for $5 and under. This is, of course YMMV as far as how much merchandise your store may have, but he did say that the entire company was doing this.
