Katniss becomes the symbol for the rebels; Peeta is rescued by the rebels for Katniss; Peeta is tortured and brainwashed by the Capital into believing that Katniss is the bad guy, making him want to kill her; as the war draws closer to the end, Katniss enters the military as a real soldier and manages to get all the way to President Snow's mansion, where she sees her sister get blown up by the rebels; Katniss assassinates the president of District 13 for being the architect of Prim's death; Katniss returns to her home in Victor's Village in District 12, where Peeta returns as well; they eventually have kids.
