Thread Details

Gearbuzz [gearbuzz.com] has the Jay bird JF3 Freedom Bluetooth Headphones for $49.95 and $10 shipping. Cheaper than I paid on the Amazon deal a little bit ago.

JayBird J3 Freedom features premium music and calls, with warm bass, tuned to eliminate listener fatigue during long workouts. These Stereo Bluetooth buds feature a lifetime warranty against sweat, six hours of music play time and a secure fit. Designed for activity, having on-ear music and call controls is significant. Controls on a cord can result in fumbling and dislodging of your earbud, a major distraction to your workout. On-ear controls offer quick, confident commands so you can focus and get the most from your workout.

Key Features

Bluetooth Wireless Music + Calls
Patented Secure Fit for Sports
Lifetime Warranty Against Sweat
Premium Audio Quality
6 hour Battery Music/Talk Play Time - Standby Time: 250 Hrs

I use mine while working out every day (with Nexus 4) and never use an armband. 90% of the time I leave my phone in my right pocket, and when doing exercises where I rest weights on my knees I set the phone on the ground under the bench. Rarely have any problems, and often walk 5-10 feet to get the next set of weights without having an issue.
no issue with volume control? do you control it on your phone or on the buds?

My experience with these and lip syncing is different from dbpaddler tho ... I see no lip sync issues using these with a PC, my iPhone 5 or my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ... I use these while I am putting in my stationary bike time to watch Game of Thrones, if there were any lip sync issues it would drive me batty in an instant. Could just be me tho.
I have a tab 8.9. I notice it in the xfinity app as I'm catching up on Dexter. I know one time it didn't happen. I download everything with the xfinity app (sweet option) and haven't tried it yet with the downloaded episodes. Maybe it'll be different than my streaming experience.

And if I was using them outside of working out, I would spend more for the ones with apt-x. Not worth it for workout cans that I beat up quite a bit.

I doubt they'll match a daily deal site type place.

I bought some emerson BT ones a couple of months ago. Only paid $18, but they are a complete waste of money. They work totally fine, but at the gym they keep slipping out of the ear, to the point where I've stopped using them and went back to my $1 earbuds. I've tried all 3 sizes of the rubber ear things to no avail. Do these stay in the ear during gym-style activities? If anyone can verify that, I'll be in for a pair also! TIA
I use them to run and do the elliptical. I use comply foam buds with them. Much more comfy and a better seal all around.

I don't mess with volume very frequently, but haven't experienced any issues to note. I generally try to leave both somewhere mid-range so that I can adjust whichever is more convenient at the time. Although when the gym is loud I sometimes get close to the max on both...there are apps/custom ROM solutions for audio volume boost, however. May even be in the standard settings, but it has been a while since I've had a non-custom android rom.

OP states it's $10 for shipping (as indicated by the thread title price). Some states or some offers will have tax applied.

I get taxed by Amazon anyways so this is still a good deal to me.

BE AWARE: It looks like JayBird only honors warranties for products sold from authorized resellers, of which Gearbuzz is not

EDIT: My mistake, it looks like these ship directly from Jaybird

I'm in! Been looking for qa decent pair of wireless headphones since I lost my motorola S305. They were getting pretty nasty anyways, but sounded good (not great, but good), and never fell off. I tried the phillips bluetooths on clearance at Target, and they just won't stay in my ears no matter what I do. Hope I have better luck with these.

$64.41 total with tax and shipping to TX.

I called them yesterday and - they don't ship from JAYBIRD they don't sell them they sell certificates - It will ship from whoever buys the certificates in bulk from them.
BTW i canceled my order (with a hustle) - i run, i need that sweat warranty to be valid

In my experience yes ... they have multiple sizes and shapes for the ear bud, but the real support comes from the "wing" that goes inside your ear lobe itself. Granted I've really only used these for biking, weights and general house/yard work ... I'm not using them for CrossFit type stuff so I cant speak to that :-)

Um, your statement was a bit muddled.

Who doesn't sell what? What ships from whom?

GearBuzz Deals offers certificates that costumer individuals buy.
once you commit to purchase and you cc is authorized they bundle the certificates and put them out for an offer that distributors, large retailers etc buy from them for redemption.
for example
lets say they sell 100 pair of headphones for 65/a piece + tax (gear buzz collects $5950 + tax whatever state you're in, they collect tax in case the retailer wands up being in your state)
they turn around and offer bulk fulfillment on 100 orders to warehouse for lets say $5000 - they keep 950 (+tax if warehouse is out of your state) and don't have to ship a single package. and warehouse/retailer don't have to hassle with marketing / costumer support.
if they don't find anyone to fulfill an order within 14 days you will never get charged for the item and there is no sale. (in this case they got someone with overstock that committed upfront to some quantity - when i questioned where is the warehouse to make sure the tax charge is legit - they started with above explanation and then escalate the case to see if i could get refund on tax charge)
then i asked if the order ships from jaybird - and sales clerk said not this batch, but some could if jaybird decides to fulfill some of the orders - but there was no commitment from jaybird as of yesterday night.
so i canceled the order since they could not assure me that whoever I'm getting the headphones from are authorized distributors (for warranty) .
