Think is it as glow in the dark button for the remote control. The keys on the Lenovo keyboard are Blackberry small, most of us want to see what we are pressing before we press it.

The lights are often low when watching TV, so backlighting helps. This is particularly so if you use it for a bedroom TV.

And as to another question in the thread, these can be used with Android sticks, a la Mk802 and Mk808.

I am looking for battery for Lenovo ideapad laptop. Anyone knows if they go on sale? If not, where can we find them cheaper?

Yes, you don't have an HTPC so you can't speak from experience. I run an HTPC in my bedroom, and considering that the keys on the N5902 are tiny, the non-backlit model would be useless to me.

In fact, the backlit feature on my N5902 failed to turn on a couple of times recently (I think the batteries might be running low), and I was unable to type on it without turning my bedroom light on.

So, if you have a dark room or low level lighting, I wouldn't even think about getting the non-backlit model as it will just be a waste of money.

FYI, the N5902 is also compatible with the PS3.

i got the multimedia kb... not backlit, but i'm okay with that

I bought the touchpad the last time they had a sale. I use it on my Win 7 Dell Desktop with no problems, it acts like a smart touchpad on a laptop, except its a bit bigger, which is nice .

I wanted a headset for gaming too but according to this: http://reviews.lenovo.com/8923-en...eviews.htm it seems pretty awful. I have a fairly large head so it'll probably feel like a vise grip is on it.
