it's actually $20 for $10, if you do the math right:

you pay BB $10 to get $10 reward + $10 merchandise
and you spend the $10 reward for another $10 merchandise
=
$10 out of pocket for $20 merchandise
still good deal.

FAQS
Q: Can I buy a Gift Card to get the Bonus Points?
A: Yes you can buy Gift Cards to get the bonus points. But keep in mind these EXCLUDE Best Buy Gift Cards.
PROOF 1:http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=58195370&postcount=352
PROOF 2:http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=58198002&postcount=392

Q: Which GCs are eligible?
A: As long as you DO NOT buy a Best Buy GC, you are safe. So you CAN buy amazon, itunes, etc.

Q: Does this promo apply to all?
A: The terms mention that only those who have interacted with the FB app are eligible for the promo. For those who have done FB polls, you should see this promo in your RZ account. For those who have not done these polls but are planning to do it soon, you may NOT be eligible. It's always worth a shot though. 3/15 Update: If you just started doing the polls on 3/13 you will qualify(verified).

Q: Can I use RZ certificates or BB Gift Cards to buy giftcards?
A: Yes RZ Certificates can also be used to buy the GCs provided that you pay $10+ OOP

Q: Which Items Are Excluded?
A: The following items are considered non-qualifying purchases for which points will not be awarded: purchases/rentals at rent-to-own locations inside Best Buy stores, instant rebates and the value of mail-in rebates on purchases, Pre-orders at the time of deposit (the points will be awarded at the time of final payment or at the time you pick up the product), purchases made for resale, purchases paid with a reward certificate or Best Buy Gift Card, or Magnolia Gift Card, Miele appliances bought in AZ, CA, or NV, sales tax, jurisdictional fees, service charges, certain Best Buy for Business or commercial purchases, recycling fees, other excluded charges, and certain items that are excluded in particular promotions. Best Buy entities such as Best Buy Express and Geek Squad® participate in awarding points in a more limited way (see each of those entities for details; Geek Squad services purchased in store are awarded points; Geek Squad services purchased in home are not).

Reward Zone program points are awarded upon purchase of Best Buy Gift Cards and Magnolia Gift Cards, but not on redemption. Best Buy Gift Card purchases are excluded from all bonus point promotions.

Q: I have done the FB polls, but how does BB know if I have made an eligible purchase >$10
A: This is tied with your Rewards Zone account. Just add the your membership # online or give it to the cashier in stores and leave the rest to the machines

Q:Is this offer valid in stores too?
A: In-Stores and Online. Don't forget to give your RZ # too

Q: Just got a $10 item, but I don't see the points in my account?
A: Since this is not a Facebook poll where you get your points immediately, but rather a purchase at Bestbuy, you must wait about one month for the reward points to be deposited into your account

Q:What is an interaction?
A:Any action taken within the app including taking a poll, building an Ultimate Space, invite a friend or voting on Member’s Choice. Simply downloading or logging into the app does not qualify as an interaction.

Q: Do Marketplace purchases qualify?
A:Yes. Marketplace purchases qualify as long as all other terms of the offer are met.

Q: Do pre-orders qualify?
A:Yes, if the pre-order is released on/before the end of the promotion and the payment is thus received before the end of the promotion.

Q: Do purchases of other gift cards, such as Xbox LIVE, PSN, or iTunes qualify?
A:Yes, as long as all other terms of the offer are met.

Q:When will the points be received?
A:Just as with all other purchases, points will post to your Reward Zone account in about 20 days.

Q: Gah! So many posts saying $10.01+ and so many posts saying $10 flat is the OOP requirement? Which is it?
Well the Best Buy Facebook Rep stated it's $10 or more before taxes, which implies the flat $10 or more subtotal requirement . However the promotion itself states "over $10", thus implying $10.01+. Many SDers are just spending the extra cent to be on the safe side in case the FB rep is incorrect. There are multiple posts on BB's FB Wall, so you can easily do a screenshot and provide evidence in case it's the "over $10" case. Spending a cent over is just for peace of mind, you get the bonus without needing evidence....
UPDATE: It has been verified by an SDer that exactly $10 will still get you the points!
Update- Actually $9.99 purchase from your pocket also gives you bonus points. i got them.

Q:What purchases are not eligible for point earning? (from RZ FAQ)
Non-qualifying purchases include, but are not limited to:
• Instant rebates and the value of mail-in rebates on purchases
• Purchases made for resale
• Purchases paid in full with a reward certificate or Best Buy Gift Card (you can still use them, just make sure the subtotal AFTER certificates/gift cards is $10 or more)
• Certain charges and fees, including but not limited to sales tax, state fees, and service charges
• Commercial purchases
• Certain promotional items
• Payments made on any Best Buy credit card
• Other exceptions may also apply

Q: Can I buy Amazon GC's on-line?
A:No, Amazon GC's can only be purchased in store.

Buying Options (Hope these work)
1. Pre-paid phone top-up cards

MAIN POINTS:
1.Don't forget DISCOVER 5% cashback
2.For the confused, spend $10.00+ using credit card/cash in order to be eligible.
3.You can use BB GCs/RZ certs to lower a purchase, just as long as you pay $10+ out of pocket.
4. Points will NOT be available immediately. You must wait 3-4 weeks for the points to be added to your account

Can someone tell me exactly how my reward points work? I currently have $30 showing in reward points to redeem. My question is if I buy something and it cost $21 will I still have $9 to use on a future purchase, or will my point balance be lost. Would I be better off using it in a purchase of 30 or more, or can I use it up in smaller transactions? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.

$20 in rewards would be used. You have to come up with the rest plus any tax and shipping.

You have to buy something that exceeds the value of the certificate for it to work. For example you would have to buy stuff that is worth over $30 to use all $30 in certificates.
