That's strange....they had to order mine....but still no problem taking the 10% off.

Only "problem" was they wouldn't take another 5% if I opened a Lowes account.

Against my better judgement...I took the $67 I saved with the 10% off, and purchased an extended warranty.

I NEVER buy them.....but I'm still concerned about the reliability of these front load washers.

They showed me price matching policy which excludes special orders. You got lucky.

Didnt think it would be a special order....the exact model is listed on their website.

Yes it is listed but not stocked. From Lowes " Special Order items display an availability date, usually seven to 14 days from the order date. In-stock items are available for store pick up, parcel shipping or Lowe’s truck delivery. "

The salesperson had to call a manager over for an override to give me the 10%
The manager didn't question it at all.

Our dryer died this weekend and our washer was fairly old, so we were in the market for a spur of the moment purchase. I ran across this thread while researching various models and brands of washers and dryers. Best Buy and Home Depot were running identical prices on the washer and matching gas dryer.

I ran to Lowes on Saturday evening to try to get this deal. Was informed they would match the BB price, but would not beat the price because the unit was special order.

I ended up buying the washer and the matching gas dryer, with the stacking kit for about $1540 delivered from Best Buy. Overall, a fairly decent deal for a matched set that is generally well reviewed.

The other major deciding factor for me was that Lowes indicated that it was a nearly 40 day wait for the dryer and approximately 10 days for the washer. BB is delivering both units this Thursday. Home depot in my area had quicker delivery than Lowes, but still slower than best buy.

Got my washer and gas dryer today. They are freakishly quiet. Had to adjust the levels myself to eliminate the walking during spin cycle. Love these things. Summary of research: Leave door open and wipe down seals/interior with vinegar/water now and then to eliminate odors. My wife already does this with everything else, not an issue! The washer has a "Pure Cycle' that supposedly self cleans it for odors as well.

We just picked up this washer from Sears tonight. Bought it during the friends and family deal, and got it for $550 before tax. It has great reviews, but don't forget to get the square trade warranty!

Is there a stackable option? My apt only has room for a stacked washer/dryer.

I ordered Samsung Stacking Kit SK-5A. As I understand, it should work with these units. I'll be able to tell you for sure this weekend when I install them.
