and yeah i got an amazing deal someone dropped it from their cart and the rep said thats the cheapest she had and im like THANK YOU GOD lol and i got to use the gift card which made it even sweater but if i where u id wait till the next time the have a sale like this and save the gift card for that.

people on the first day got amazing deals like mine. the best one i found was and i7 with 8 gigs of ram and gt 620 for 510 -75 bucks which i canceled my order and replaced it with the gtx660 one for like 10 bucks more and 8 more gigs of ram lol

Thanks for the responses. Yeah I would give my left arm for that deal, i'm still waiting in chat hoping my rep comes across one. How often do they have these sales? I already bought the gift card so I'll just have to wait til the next sale unless my rep finds a deal for me.

they should have more of these sales as it gets closer summertimecuz intel should be rolling out the 4th gen "i" processors ull be better off with a 3770 and a good graphics card then a 4th gen i7. this sale started i think friday and i saw it on slick deals friday night and most of the good stuff was gone. plus theres alot of gready mofos that like to buy 10 units and flip them on ebay. that gift card thing came out today so umight be able to chat with those guys and see if they have people drop any from there carts. ussally in the afternoon around 4-6 but the 30% coupon ends today

Not bad for the last day of the deal. For $15 more I could have grabbed the $999 list price with 12 vs 8GB RAM but I was half way through the chat deal when it appeared.
Availability took a major nose dive last week within 48 hours of sale advert...

Thinking of replacing the 7770 video card with my GTX 470, but that card runs pretty hot and I'm worried if the airflow in the XPS 8500 is sufficient.

Is the 7770 not powerful enough for you? what games are you playing? or what are you using it for?

I'm asking because I'm about to check out with a 7770 right now.

Made a purchase last night. Was unable to snag a 660 like I wanted but 475 out the door is a good enough discount to purchase a card later.

Something to add. I contacted customer service amd was able to get 75$ credited bacl since the gift card promo came out today. Worth a shot for anyone interested. Now I just need to find the right monitor to go with it. Still using one from 4-5 years ago.

Wow Dell dropped my order yesterday! Had to talk to 4 different departments and none of them could help me. Finally did the online chat again and got a system with the same spec but $40 more. Luckily the $75 gift card promotion started today so I ended up saving 30 bucks.
