any reccomendations on the cheapest best build for a xps 8500

Oooo!!..That's def the best for the money! I didn't realize these systems offered 660's. They pretty much trade blows w/ the 7870

Maybe my Yoga will arrive in time for me to put it through the ringer and still decide if I want the XPS 12. Like jnads, I would have hopped on this if this deal popped up first.

yupp thats what i just got , my 1st real pc i think lol i hope i made a good choice , they never told me what ps i was getting though but i think they are all standard 450w or something wich ill need to upgrade when i wanna throw a gtx 690 in it .

Unless you already have a 690... Don't buy one. The 700 series will be coming out soon. Hold out for it

(The 660 will pretty much max 1080p anyways w/ at least 30fps)

Yoga is still avail for $636. its too big as a tablet. def prefer xps12 but this is $780+tax more like 830.. too much atm.

yeah i can hold out , im just getting into this pc stuff , my buddy has a origin pc and hes been showing me how to work on it , we just put 2 nvidia 680's in it via sli over the weekend and i want my rig to be comparable in graphics to his. I am more of a console gamer but i am giving pc a try and could also use a good desktop. Things i dont understand with the xps 8500 is why they dont offer bigger power supplies as i think the one that comes with it cant handle more than a 660. Also any advice you can all give me would be great ? id like to eventually change the case to something nicer and drop a bigger card in it when i have the funds.

How is this set-up???

I DO NOT play game....used mostly for email/and getting music/movies.
I have a very fast internet connection if that helps.

I probably would've hopped on this, but if they popped at the same time I still would've went Yoga.

The Dell is superior on paper, but it has its own fair share of issues. Given the choice between one laptop with issues and another, I'll go with the cheaper one.
