This is a good deal based upon the normal price of a MBP. If you think it's a good deal for a laptop in general, you don't know anything about computers. For most people it's overkill.
With that being said, the appeal of this laptop is it's screen and build quality. I love Apple hardware, just not their prices or software. I personally would wait until the next generation so I could get a Haswell processor and then put Windows 7 on it. |

Just a FYI, DataVision is a local store here in NYC and personally, I would never give them my business. The sales people are the worse in customer service and they intentionally rip off people. I went there to check the price on a Canon lens that normall retails for about $600, and they were selling it for $799. I told the sales guy it retails for $600 everywhere else and his reponse was "they price it for the tourists, it's still cheaper than what they would pay for it at home so they'll buy it anyway."
I haven't gone in there since then. |

Also, the main item page clearly says "Earn 1849 Rakuten Super Points"...1849/100 = 18.49... Last edited by vindogz; 03-13-2013 at 12:43 PM.. |

1. Quite a bit heavier 2. Lower resolution screen 3. Slower processor 4. No SSD 5. Used 6. Lower spec GPU Not to mention Windows 8 (no thank you) |

good deal though, even without considering the credit part. MacMall has it at $1891.49 as the lowest for this model (base model for 15" MBP Retina) TU and repped I hope Page Plus has this plan: 500-600 min, 800-1500 text, and 50-100 MB data for $19.95

http://www.rakuten.com/ct/Rakuten...fault.aspx "How many Rakuten Super Points do I need to buy things on rakuten.com? Well, it’s pretty easy; 100 Points are worth $1." "Also on that note, the maximum number of Points that can be used per transaction is 25,000 Rakuten Super Points which is equal to $250 of your purchase. " |
