The reliability of the SanDisk Extreme should be very high since the firmware bugs have been worked out and the Sandforce controller has the lowest write amplification factor in the industry.
The 24nm synchronous toggle MLC NAND used in the Extreme is high-quality. Just be sure to update the drive to the current firmware if it comes with older firmware (as with any SSD).

It does appear that the Extreme has better reliability than I expected but for the application Im looking for a Marvell controller is a safer bet until the sandforce drives have proven track records. I miss all the deals on 830's. Those were the best to buy and were cheap mid last year.
