How would this compare to the Panasonic G5 kit plus telezoom lens for 540? Incidentally, are there plans for a Slickdeals Android app?

Not bad camera at all, but if you are geting just body for $100 less, go for it as the kit lens it little bulky compared to Sigma fixed length lenses. You can always buy kit lens later for less than $100.

This did come with the power zoom lens before. I see the new 3N comes with it and it seems that's a new version of power zoom. I will wait a bit longer and see since the drop of price isn't that much anyway.

Bigger Sensor No EVF but high quality rear lcd screen Focus Peaking + Short Mount = Ability to adapt almost all legacy manual focus lenses Smaller body (needs smaller lens to make it truly compact though) Better EVF when buying the EVF Attachment (however it's an extra $220) G5 EVF Better on body controls (slr styled) Larger amounts of quality auto focus lenses (Olympus, Panny, etc) Standard Hotshoe |
